8 Constructive Habits of Successful Young Entrepreneurs

Ziglar couldn’t have done a better job in portraying the importance of an individual’s attitude towards a goal. Simply put, the level of success you attain is almost entirely dependent on your approach. Agreed, talent and intellect play a major role in determining your success, however, intellect alone does not guarantee the willpower an entrepreneur needs to willfully and punctiliously carry on his venture.
This high-spirited “attitude” that all clever young entrepreneurs possess, has several embedded traits.
Do these wise men and women rise early to become “healthy” and “wealthy”? They do indeed. Let’s look at what else the brightest and best business owners love doing.
The level of success you attain is almost entirely dependent on your approach.
1. Consistency is their Key
There really is no point in creating x many calendars, schedules, with color-coded stickies, tags, and other fancy stuff meant to improve productivity, when you can’t follow your schedule. Self-discipline and consistency is the key to moving forward in your goal(s).
This isn’t just going to be your sleep, wake-up, and lunch timings that you are religiously following. Consistency must be present in each and every single task that contributes towards your end goals. While some routine tasks can be compromised (i.e. laundry, house-keeping), others that are prioritized in the “A” category simply can’t be tampered with.
2. They Have a Stress-Relieving Practice
This can vary widely. While some would call watching a Star Wars episode a stress-relieving activity, others would prefer meditative practices such as deep breathing, yoga, or even Tai Chi. Young entrepreneurs know the value of their sanity to the success of their business and are often seeking ways to figure out their one best, most fulfilling stress-relieving practice – that is, if they don’t already know what it is.
3. They Know the Value of Me-Time
Contrary to what most non-entrepreneurs may think, successful business owners are actually pretty good at managing their time. For them, even “me-time” has a slot of its own in their schedules—and it has to be given due consideration. This part of their schedule is the perfect time for them to reflect on the success of their businesses and ask questions such as: What is and isn’t working? What could be done to improve? How can I better serve my customers?
The most successful people, are morning people.
4. They are Premeditated Morning Persons
The notion that you can either be a morning person or a night owl should be set aside. According to several studies, the most successful people, are morning people. This doesn’t mean that night owls can’t be great entrepreneurs, however, according to Harvard Business Review and countless other studies, “the early bird really does get the worm.” Sorry, night owls.
5. They Have a Large Circle of Friends
Being socially well-rounded in any environment may be a personality type. Young entrepreneurs realize the importance of socializing — or in other words, “networking”. The good news is that you don’t have to be an extrovert to learn the skill. Even young introvert /ambivert entrepreneurs know how to fake their social skills and work well with other people.
Regardless of which type of product of service they sell, they constantly work on relating well with others, partnering with people, learning from experts, and let’s not forget, taking immense care of their customers.
6. They Are Business-Minded
A business-minded personality is inherent in successful entrepreneurs. It maybe a quality that has passed on genetically, or something they have learned overtime. Successful young entrepreneurs know well which market forces affect them, their customer’s perspective, and possess intuition necessary for decision making, as well as other tricks and techniques that every business owner should know.
They are also lovers of profit and can visualize how earnings can be maximized without it negatively affecting their business.

7. They Are Emotionally Intelligent
Reacting to a customer’s complaint in the most unacceptable manner is a sign that a business owner lacks tact. Successful young entrepreneurs, not only know their social skills well, but are also emotionally intelligent in any given situation. Criticism, for them, is feedback. Similarly, rejection is a chance to improve. They have thick skin and that’s what makes them sensibly sensitive.
8. Cross Out Their To-Do’s Often
Make all the lists you want, if those to-dos aren’t being crossed out fast enough, you’re not getting anywhere. Successful young entrepreneurs are list-fans. But so are many other un-successful ones. The difference? Only the fact that they attend to them and rightfully cross out the tasks fast enough. You might have a list of long-term goals that are still being sought out. The time duration it takes you to accomplish those goals and justly cross out the “do”, determines your true potential and merited “altitude”, as Ziglar put it.
Even a no-brainer would know that success doesn’t touch your feet that easily. It comes in the form of a challenge in your life, and the only way you can overcome it is by showing perseverance and the aforementioned habits of successful entrepreneurs. So, start integrating those habits in your life and see a significant change in yourself and the world around you.
